If you run an older PC, have a slow internet connection, or even just can’t see the difference between 2K and 4K textures, you’d rather keep your game size small.

Some games, like Far Cry 6 have made their 4K textures optional when downloading the game, saving more than 30 Gb of data.

This is a huge step in the right direction, as download size are responsible for a big chunk of game’s carbon emissions!
